Recently Henry’s Metal Polishing added to its extensive list of equipment a new Amada Weld Tech THIN-Line™ TL-080B resistance welder.
The TL-080B is a “production line” welding head with a capacitive discharge power supply with dual pulse output, 5-260 Ws output range, and 1-150 ms weld period range. The two independently programmable energy pulses used in Dual Pulse mode is one of the most useful features of the power supply because it prepares the weld interface before making the actual weld.
The dual pulse feature of this welder is especially beneficial for welding nickel-plated steel, stainless steel, copper and brass, battery tabs, dissimilar metals and parts with variable oxide or plating thickness.
It has a precision, low inertia, force fired weld head with a narrow vertical profile. The 1-3/4” (4.5 cm) width, 1” (2.5 cm) stroke, 20 – 40 pound (89-178 N) maximum force range, and throat depth allows its use in a wide variety of precision resistance welding applications.
